- 2 BMW 325i LIM (VB21), production time February 16, 2007
- 64 BMW 320i LIM (VG81), production time from September 3, 2007 to May 26, 2008
- 51 BMW 325i LIM (VH41), production time from May 4, 2007 to May 26, 2008
- 4 BMW 320i CABRIO (WK61), production time from September 3, 2009 to September 22, 2009
- 5 BMW 325i CABRIO (WL21), production time from May 2, 2008 to July 20, 2009
On recalled vehicles, it is possible that the insulating cover of the connecting cord from the plug to the controller of the air-conditioner fan is discolored or peeled (exposed to the wire core). The cause is the quality of the casing connected to the controller of the air conditioner fan over time. In some cases, this may result in the wire being overheated and then short-circuited or melted at the contact of the connector to the controller of the air conditioner fan. The worst case may result in short circuit causing the fan to not work, affecting the safety and operation of the vehicle.
