Toyota Corolla Altis 2020 finalizes the launch date in Southeast Asia


After more than 6 months of launch in the US, Toyota Corolla Altis 2020 will officially dock in Southeast Asia market on September 3 here.

According to automotive news, Toyota Altis 2020 will officially dock in Southeast Asia market in Thailand on September 3. Previously, the car was first released in the US in February.

Toyota Corolla Altis 2020 is the 12th generation of Altis, possesses a length of 4,640, width of 1,780, height of 1,435 mm and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. Compared to the old generation, this new generation has redesigned the radiator grille and some exterior details to make it more youthful and modern. Specifically, the car has a large grille, low layout in the front, the J-shaped LED headlamps, expanded wind recesses, the front bumper integrates fog lights on both sides. The rear section is equipped with LED taillights clustered together by a bright chrome. In addition, the car also owns a set of chrome multi-spoke alloy wheels, contrasting with the color of tires.
The interior of the Corolla Altis 2020 has been adjusted to design space with sporty leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel incorporating multiple function keys and especially the display on the HUD steering glass. The infotainment system is integrated via 8-inch touch screen, the L version is the lowest version using 7-inch screen.



In terms of performance, the Corolla Altis 2020 will use a 1.8-liter engine with two options of pure gasoline engine and a gasoline engine combined with a hybrid. Altis 2020 version using pure gasoline engine Dual VVT-i with 2ZR-FBE code gives a capacity of 140 horsepower at 6,000 rpm, and maximum torque of 175 Nm at 4,000 rpm, final With CVT automatic gearbox.

Meanwhile, the remaining version uses a 4-cylinder gasoline engine 1.8L code 2ZR-FXE that produces 98 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and maximum torque of 142 Nm at 3,600 rpm. This engine is combined with an electric motor with a capacity of 72 horsepower, 163 Nm of torque. The total power from this engine block is 122 hp and uses the E-CVT gearbox.

In addition to the 1.8-liter engine, the Toyota Corolla Altis in Thailand will be supplemented with a 1.6 liter naturally aspirated Dual VVT-i gasoline engine with 1ZR-FBE code, producing 125 horsepower and torque. Maximum twisting 157 Nm. The gearbox comes with two options of 6-speed manual gearbox or 7-speed Super CVTi automatic transmission.



Corolla Altis 2020 is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense safety package, including PCS collision warning system, DRCC adaptive cruise control, headlights automatically adjust projection angle, misdirection warnings, support lane keeping.

Currently the price of Toyota Corolla Altis 2020 when docking in Southeast Asia has not been announced. In the US, this C-class sedan costs from $ 20,100.
